YouTube removes more videos than ever before

According to a report released on Tuesday, YouTube took down more than 11.4 million videos between April and June, double that of the first quarter of 2020. YouTube, a platform owned by Google, said that it considers a number of factors in removing content that may have a negative impact on the user community.

YouTube said in a blog post that its sensitive policy areas include child safety and violent extremism.
