The event is organised every two years by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The festival aims to encourage the development of young photographers, contribute to the promotion of creative activities, and publish works that reflect contemporary life through the lens of the young Vietnamese photographer force.
The Young Photography Festival is also an activity for young people who love photography throughout the country to exchange, learn, meet, introduce creative achievements, and supplement their next force for Vietnamese photography. At the same time, the event will contribute to introducing and promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to the domestic and international public; and to encouraging young people's interest and participation in the photographic arts in particular and social issues in general.
Photographers can submit their works in two categories of Realistic Photo and Conceptual Photo. Each photographer can send up to eight photos. Entries should be submitted in a JPG digital format, at a resolution of at least 300dpi, with a size of no more than 4Mb.
