In her childhood, the most happy moment for a Vietnamese girl is the Lunar New Year as she could wear the Ao Dai. Coming to schooling age, the girl proudly wears the white Ao Dai as girl uniform at school; she also wears the Ao Dai in her wedding day. The familiar tunic of the Vietnamese woman inspired the staff of the Department of Science and Education - Vietnam Television to embody the idea of producing the multi-episode documentary on You Look Beautiful Wearing Ao Dai.
Each episode recorded the love, compassion and respect for the Ao Dai. The host of the show Phi Linh as the narrator will chat with personalities such as diplomats, dressmakers, designers to reveal the beauty of Ao Dai.
The eyewitnesses and the precious archive footage about the ao dai are the highlights of the 10 episodes of the documentary You Look Beautiful Wearing Ao Dai broadcast at 21h15 on VTV2 every Tuesday, starting in October.
