At the ceremony, Yen Bai City also received the second-class Labour Order and was recognised as a second-tier urban area, according to a decision signed by the Prime Minister.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasised, that with its important location, rich and diverse natural resources, and unique cultural values; Yen Bai people are united, creative, patriotic, self-reliant, and aspirational for development.
Yen Bai Province can create outstanding opportunities, becoming a driving force for rapid, sustainable development if it is planned in the right direction, with breakthrough thinking and long-term vision, he added.
Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy affirmed, that the Yen Bai Provincial Planning project approved and officially announced by the Prime Minister, is the most important legal basis to arrange space, attract investment, allocate resources to exploit and maximize potential and strengths, to realise the goal of helping Yen Bai be among the top five leading provinces in the northern midland and mountainous regions, by 2030.
