World Health Day stresses universal health coverage

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), at least half of the world's population do not have access to essential health services while more than 100 million people are living under the poverty line of 1.9 USD per day because they have to pay for healthcare.

The WHO also said that no single health insurance system can be applied to all nations. Thus each country has to redesign their systems / in order to remove the financial burdens that have been placed on its people's shoulders
