VTV.vn - A workshop on school violence took place on Sunday morning in the southern city of Can Tho, drawing 1,500 teachers and parents

The event is the biggest of its kind ever held in the city. The workshop is part of activities organised by Children Support Centre. Participants told their real life stories about the difficulties that teachers and parents face while raising and educating children.

According to a research by Dr. Pham Minh Muc, from the Vietnam Institute of Education Sciences, more than 50 percent of students in both cities and rural areas are involved in school violence. Meanwhile, the research showed that the most typical reaction of students under physical and mental school violence is keeping silent or asking for help from friends.
