Located in Luong Hoa Commune, the house was inaugurated in 2003 in honour of Nguyen Thi Dinh (1920-1992), the first female general serving in the Vietnam People’s Army.
She was one of the leaders and soul of the "Long-Hair Army", an all-female armed force during the resistance war against the US. The "Long-Hair Army’s" spread played an important role in the Dong Khoi movement and the victory of the South’s revolution and national reunification in 1975.
The project has a total investment of more than 12 billion VND, funded by Donacoop Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company.
The money will be used to renovate the facilities and infrastructure of the house, including the welcome lobby, the exhibition space, the lighting system, and the water drainage system.
The project is expected to be completed within 90 days.
