The event was held in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the VFF Traditional Day (November 18, 1930-2020).
A total of 81 prizes were presented to outstanding entries at the ceremony, including one grand prize, five A, 14 B, 29 C and 32 consolation prizes. Of which, journalists of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper won two B, one C and five consolation prizes.
The grant prize went to a series of reportages entitled ‘People unite to fight against COVID-19 pandemic’, which were broadcast on Vietnam Television’s Channel 1.
The winning works stood out from the more than 1,100 entries sent to the organising board in five categories of printed and e-newspapers, radio, television, and press photos.
While congratulating the prize winners, VFF President Tran Thanh Man hailed that their entries not only covered the country’s development achievements and pressing issues in today’s life but also suggested valuable and constructive ideas towards strengthening the national great unity bloc.
He called on news agencies and journalists to be more active and sharpen their skills at work while working side by side with the VFF to promote the national strength in building and defending the Fatherland.
