Warning: Impersonation of VTV for Mid-Autumn Festival Casting Calls

Recently, VTV Times received numerous letters from viewers reporting that certain social media accounts have been exploiting VTV’s name and brand to post information about talent searches for a Mid-Autumn Festival program called *Dem Hoi Trang Ram 2024*. Specifically, these accounts have been claiming to produce the show in collaboration with VTV. However, parents were then instructed to make payments to advertise products on a suspicious website. After placing an order, they were asked to transfer money to an unrelated account.

The images and information provided by these impostors are cleverly  designed to make it easy for viewers and parents to trust them and fall into the trap. This illegal activity not only causes financial harm to the audience but also damages VTV’s reputation.

In response to this situation, VTV Times contacted journalist Nguyễn Đức Hòa, Deputy Director of the Documentary Center, VTV, the unit responsible for producing two VTV programs for this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, to clarify the details.

According to journalist Nguyen Duc Hoa, VTV has preliminary plans to produce a program for young audiences during the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival. However, THE PRODUCTION TEAM IS NOT ORGANIZING ANY TALENT SEARCH COMPETITIONS. Additionally, VTV's entertainment and artistic programs do not require viewers to pay any fees to participate.

Journalist Nguyen Duc Hoa emphasized that these false recruitment and invitation announcements pose a significant risk not only to parents' finances and children's well-being but also to the reputation of the specific programs and VTV as a whole. Official information about the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival program will be posted on VTV’s official platforms soon. Parents are advised to verify information before participating in any contests advertised on social media.

Over the years, VTV has always given young viewers  a special gift during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Each year, the program features a different title, such as Thap Sang Uoc Mo Thieu Nhi (Lighting Up Children's Dreams), Vang Trang Uoc Mo (Moon of Dreams), Dem Thu Co Tich (Fairy Tale Autumn Night), Le Hoi Mat Trang (Moon Festival),... among others. The program includes  performances by renowned artists, offering children spectacular and unique artistic creations.
