Warning for flood & landslide in northern region
VTV.vn - Meteorological services in Vietnam have forecasted that Storm Pakhar will bring heavy rains on a wide scale to the northern region with floods and landslide warnings for the mountainous areas, beginning from Monday evening until August 31st.
The amount of rain is expected to reach 100 to 150 mm. During the same period, the Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh provincial area will experience heavy rain and strong winds. Earlier on Sunday, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control convened an emergency meeting on Sunday to discuss measures for responding to the impact of Storm Pakhar.
