This is the first time that VTV youth are present at the World Youth Festival. Three representatives of the VTV Youth Union, along with over 100 youth delegates nationwide, have set off to the city of Sochi, the Russian Federation, to attend the festival from March 1-7, 2024. This is an opportunity for Vietnamese youth, in general, and VTV in particular, to socialize, get to know each other, and introduce the unique cultural characteristics of Vietnam to young friends worldwide.
The 2024 World Youth Festival is considered one of the largest global events for youth. This year's festival will bring together about 28,000 people from 180 countries and territories, including Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. The festival will feature three main programs: Education, Culture, and Sports.
The events will transpire within the Sochi Park, where the 2014 Winter Olympic Games of the Russian Federation took place. On the evening of March 2, the official Opening Ceremony of the Festival took place. In the following days, there will be hundreds of activities aimed at connecting youth worldwide through many meaningful programs with contemporary relevance.
