The program “2017 Scientific and Technological Highlights” of the Science and Education Program Department won the highest prize in the TV journalism category. The program “Open Perspective for the Industrial Revolution 4.0” by the Documentary and Reports Department won the second prize.
The awarded entries were regarded as the fruit of endeavors from script writing to directing, pre-production, post-production, music and photography.
The Science and Technology Journalism Awards is the annual event for the journalists specialized in the field. It is the recognition by the Ministry of Science and Technology to honor the journalist who made efforts to tell stories on science and technology. Their stories have contributed to raise the people’s awareness on the role of science and technology in the national development and integration process. The first sci-tech journalism award was held in 2012. Throughout the six editions, five thousand entries have been submitted belonging to four categories.
The 2017 sci-tech award received the participation from most of the national press and news agencies from the central to local levels. Four first prizes, 4 second prizes, 4 third prizes and Six commendations were awarded out of seven hundred journalism works.
