The award for the best news image went to the report on overcoming difficulties in teaching during the epidemic by reporters Thanh Thao and Trong Duc (News Department, Vietnam Television). The ABU jury appreciated the moving images of teachers overcoming difficulties in maintaining classroom learning in schools in remote areas.

The award ceremony was held for the first time after 2 years of the epidemic. This is also an opportunity to meet and share experiences of hundreds of reporters, radio and television producers from nearly 30 ABU members.

The theme of this year's discussions is "Truth and Trust" in times of crisis, emphasizing the role of mainstream media in building public trust, combating fake news and contributing to social stability.
