VTV.vn - In the face of the complicated and unpredictable developments of Typhoon No. 4, VTV quickly implemented a plan to broadcast on preventing natural disasters.

VTV8 focuses and increases reporting time on the storm situation.

Following the dispatch of the Command Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang city and Notice No. 88/TB-THVN dated September 26, 2022 on the implementation of emergency measures, managers of Vietnam Television of the Central Highlands - Central Region (VTV8) asked the content departments to expand the current news framework.

Therefore, in addition to the main daily news, from the morning of September 27 until the storm passes, VTV8 channel will feature the Storm Bulletins. The duration of each bulletin is 10 to 14 minutes, focusing on reflecting responses and prevention measures in localities where the storm is expected to make landfall, such as Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and the northern central highland provinces.

The News Division, including reporters, editors and anchors, along with VTV8's director, director of photography and studio technicians, worked in shifts, ensuring the safe operation of reports in any event, in any situation. Along with the task of spreading storm prevention, storm prevention work has also been enhanced at VTV8 headquarters. Special teams for natural disaster prevention are activated to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the objective of guaranteeing the absolute safety of people, property and production equipment.

This morning (September 27), reinforcement reporters move to Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Kon Tum. Together with the head office in Da Nang, these reporters will be tasked with providing timely local news for Vietnam Television channels.
