VTV inaugurates DVB-T broadcast stations in Central Highlands

The transmitter is installed at the peak of Ham Rong mountain, at an altitude of 800m above the sea level. It is the transmitter of the newest generation by GatesAir from the US. It is disigned to broadcast VTV channels from 1 to 9 and the Gia Lai TV. With the capacity of 2.4 kW and high altitude, people from most of the localities of Gia Lai province will be able to watch TV of DVB-T2 technology.

Previously, VTV inaugurated another DVB-T2 station in  the neighboring province of Kon tum to serve the ethnic minority people here. By putting into use the DVB-T2 stations, the two provinces of Gia Lai and Kon tum have fufilled the digital transmission plan of the government.
