This was emphasised during yesterday's meeting between President of Vietnam Television Tran Binh Minh and General Director of Deutsche Welle, Peter Limbourg.
At the meeting, Tran Binh Minh expressed his appreciation of DW's support for VTV thus far. Since 1996, the two sides have cooperated in many fields such as training and program exchange, and collaborated in various multilateral forums. VTV's President hopes to strengthen this cooperation in the near future, particularly in the domains of documentary production, TV management training, and information exchange in issues of interest to both Germany and Vietnam.
For his part, Peter Limbourg highlighted that VTV has been DW's focal partner in Asia. The two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding on the repackaging and broadcasting of DW's Science TV program in Vietnam.
