The travelogue Land of Trades is a journey that depicts people in the West who make their living through unique jobs, doing special occupations. These trades are specific to the land, only available in a few places in the West, and at the same time meet the local needs of a village, a community, a segment of the population.
Some occupations are unique not only because they are limited to a small number of people, but also because they depend on external factors such as environmental factors and personal situations. The appeal of these occupations has created a unique and powerful feature for each episode. The stories of each occupation throughout the series will highlight the adaptability of the people of the West to natural conditions over generations.
To this day, through many ups and downs, it is not only a trade to earn a living, but also a way of life, a cultural feature. Carrying the cultural imprint, the memory of the South,... some trades have been recognized as national intangible heritage.
The documentary Land of Trades consists of 10 episodes and will be broadcast every Tuesday at 20:30, starting on August 20 on VTV Can Tho channel.
