VTV Awards 2019: Impressive, fresh and full of emotion!

Taking place on September 9 at Vietnam Television headquarters and being broadcast live on VTV1, the 2019 VTV Awards ceremony met the expectations of the audience. Ten trophies were awarded to the most deserving names.

VTV Awards 2019 honored the artists, characters and collectives who have contributed and devoted to creating quality and influential TV works. And the most deserving and impressive names were announced at the awarding ceremony on September 9, after two rounds of voting in more than three months.

Thanh Trung unexpectedly overtook Ngo Kien Huy, Mai Ngoc, Hong Nhung and Nguyen Khang to hold the trophy for the second time in the Impressive Hosts Award with 50% of votes from the jury panel and 50% of votes from the audience.

A second surprise for many was the Impressive Actress Award, when Bao Thanh received the VTV Award for the second time. Previously, she won the Impressive Actress Award in 2017 for portraying Minh Van in the TV series “Living with Her Mother-in-Law”.

“Go Home, Baby” is the third triumphant drama with 3 trophies at VTV Awards.

People's Artist Trung Anh won the "Impressive Actor" Award, Bao Thanh won the "Impressive Actress" Award and the film "Go Home, Baby" was named the "Impressive Drama".

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, General Director of Vietnam Television Tran Binh Minh congratulated the individual and collective winners of the 2019 VTV Awards and talked about the "challenges" for Vietnam Television.

"In 2020, we will celebrate the half-century of VTV. It has been a never-ending journey with lots of difficulties and challenges, but it has been also a very proud one for the people of VTV. Our success would not be possible without the support of the audience and the great contribution of the artists and partners "
