This is an annual activity co-organised by the RoK’s Ministry of Employment and Labour, and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, with the aim of enhancing exchanges and mutual understanding between overseas workers in the RoK, as well as supporting them with practical services relating to law, insurance, banking and health care.
Attending the festival were ambassadors from 16 countries sending workers to the RoK along with over 3,000 labourers from these nations.
The event featured pavilions introducing unique cultures of participating countries.
The Vietnamese booth was splendidly decorated with national flags, palm-leaf conical hats, and traditional dress “ao dai” as well as photos depicting cultural festivals, natural landscapes, and national development achievements in recent years.
At present, over 50,000 Vietnamese are working in the RoK, forming the second biggest foreign labour community in the host country, after China.
