On April 18, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Government Office held a conference to review the activities conducted during Youth Month 2025.
In his remarks at the event, Mr. Bui Hoang Tung, Secretary of the Government Youth Union, noted that under the theme “The Youth of the Government: Proud and Confident to Follow the Party”, and to celebrate the success of Party congresses at all levels in the run-up to the first Government Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term, thousands of vibrant and innovative activities were launched across union branches. These included forums and seminars on administrative reform and digital transformation, as well as community volunteer programs, gratitude initiatives, and historical education events to foster national pride. These efforts had a far-reaching impact, highlighting the pioneering role of youth in realizing major strategic directives of the Party and Government, particularly Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

According to reports presented at the conference, the Government Youth Union implemented numerous youth projects during Youth Month 2025. Notable initiatives included the “National Flag Road”, green tree corridors, community activity points, and playgrounds for children in remote areas, and social welfare programs in disadvantaged regions. Units actively promoted the “3-Link” policy framework.
Many creative and effective models were deployed by affiliate youth unions. Among them was the VTV AI Club model initiated by the Youth Union of Vietnam Television (VTV).Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Dam – Standing Deputy Secretary of the VTV Youth Union, said that t the club was established under the direction and guidance of the VTV leadership, aiming to integrate Youth Union activities with professional work, especially in the areas of digital transformation and artificial intelligence. This was in response to the “Digital Literacy for All” program launched by General Secretary To Lam. Currently, the club has attracted nearly 1,000 members from across VTV.

According to Mr. Dam, the VTV AI Club was created to offer VTV staff and employees the opportunity to experience new AI applications. The club has organized an AI school with professional field-specific groups, allowing members to train and apply AI knowledge relevant to their work. It also plans to hold specialized workshops featuring AI experts from both Vietnam and abroad, providing members with opportunities to update their knowledge and foster a spirit of innovation.
During Youth Month 2025, the Government Youth Union achieved numerous remarkable results, including: the admission of 258 new Party members; 417 applied projects, initiatives, and solutions across policy consulting, business, services, production, and scientific research; 200 youth-led projects at all levels; supporting the construction of 58 charity houses; planting of 11,500 new trees; and allocating over 8 billion VND to social welfare and community volunteer programs.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Lai Xuan Lam – Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, urged the Government Youth Union to continue focusing on educating and cultivating revolutionary ideals and faith among the youth. He also encouraged contributions to draft documents for Party congresses at all levels, the First Government Party Congress, and the 14th National Party Congress. He called for practical proposals to help realize the country's development goals toward 2030 and the vision for 2045. Additionally, the Government Youth Union was encouraged to organize youth-driven activities and projects to celebrate Party congresses and national holidays, strengthen the Youth Union’s structure, actively build and protect the Party and political system, and maintain and expand the “3-Link” model.

Mr. Bui Hoang Tung – Secretary of the Government Youth Union – emphasized that the Government Youth Union will continue to strengthen its organization, improve the quality of youth leaders, innovate its content and operational methods, leverage the strengths of each unit, and expand networking to spread positive values. The Standing Committee of the Government Youth Union has reaffirmed that each Youth Union officer and member must be a crucial link in national development. In the short term, this includes striving for a GDP growth target of 8% or more in 2025, and in the long term, reaching the goal of becoming a high-income developed country by 2045. Youth Union members of the Government are expected to take the lead in digital transformation, innovation, and institutional reform to help build a strong and prosperous nation.
At the conference, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Executive Committee of the Government Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements during Youth Month 2025.
