On the night of October 17, the National Program for the Poor - Leave No One Behind 2020 was held at the Friendship Cultural Palace with the theme "Towards the Sun" with many stories, lessons and examples of the works to eradicate hunger and reduce poverty. The program is organized by the Central Steering Committee of National Objective Programs in coordination with the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Homeland Front and Vietnam Television.
The program is one of the annual practical activities to mobilize all persons, companies, agencies, units, individuals and Vietnamese abroad to contribute resources to the Fund "For the Poor" and social welfare programs as well as respond to the movement of emulation The Whole Country Unite with the Poor- Leave No One Behind 2020 launched by the Prime Minister.

This year's show is a painting with many special characters, each of whom is a unique puzzle piece with a moving and moving story. All exude a spirit of self-improvement from the characters with the support of the entire society.
It is the story of the seventy-year-old photographer who quietly builds more than 30 houses for underprivileged households; a "5-minute memory" young man with a low IQ, who even forgets the way home, but never forgets to pick up trash to earn a living and buy food for the poor; they are farmers who have worked without pay to build more than 400 bridges in the last 10 years in the Mekong Delta, among others.
In this year's National Program for the Poor, there are 220 companies, units and individuals registered to support and were committed to donating through the Fund for the Poor and the social security program an amount of almost VND 2.4 billion.
In addition, in the program, the Prime Minister called on and hoped that domestic and foreign companies, organizations and individuals continue to accompany and join forces with the Party, the State, the Vietnam Homeland Front to take practical activities, make greater contributions to the reduction of poverty and guarantee of social security; especially in supporting and helping dear compatriots in central provinces who are suffering serious damage caused by the floods.
Immediately after Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc's appeal, the leaders of the Party, the State, the Vietnam Homeland Front, the leaders of ministries, departments and unions donated directly to support the people affected by the flood.
Solemn and cozy, the program The Whole Country Unite with the Poor2020 conveys many emotional stories mixed with significant musical performances that have been carefully orchestrated.
In particular, for the first time, the song "Towards the Sun", composed by composer Duong Cam exclusively for this year's show, was performed by the singing duo Bao Tram, Quang Dat, Lam Bao Ngoc.
The song Barefoot (composed by Luu Ha An) with the fiery voice of meritorious artist Thanh Lam, the mash-up of The Leadwood Tree- The Hands by the late musician Tran Lap performed by singer Dong Hung and the song Singing About Rice Today performed by the singers Bao Tram and Duong Tran Nghia also brought a lot of emotions to the audience.
