After witnessing a sharp decrease in January, the VN Index recovered in February and ranked 10th among the best performing markets in the world. The VN Index rose 2.59% in February, standing at 559.37 points. Compared to other nations in ASEAN, Vietnam’s stock market stood only behind the Indonesian stock market. In the first two months of 2016, the VN Index declined 3.4%, but maintained better performances than the stock markets in Singapore and the Philippines.
