Since the evening of February 9, the provincial Military High Command has mobilised around 300 soldiers and officers from local military units to carry out cleaning and disinfection works for the setup of the field hospital.
In addition, people who have had close contact with those confirmed with the 2019-nCoV infection will be received and isolated at the provincial Military School in Dinh Trung commune, Vinh Yen district.
People in the isolation area will be provided with free personal items and meals.
To date, nine cases positive for nCoV have been reported in Vinh Phuc province, including seven cases in Binh Xuyen district, one in Tam Duong district, and one in Tam Dao district.
The provincial authorities have spent more than VND15.3 billion (US$660,000) on the prevention and control of the epidemic. Four inspection delegations headed by four provincial vice chairmen have been established to inspect the deployment of preventive measures against the disease.
