The figure is an increase of US$1.6 billion compared with the same period in 2019 and the forestry sector is on course to achieve the target of US$13 billion for the whole year.
Vietnam aims to bring in US$14.5 billion from exporting timber and forestry products in 2021 and US$20 billion in 2025.
During the 2013-2019 period, the forestry sector paid VND1.6 trillion (nearly US$69.4 million) annually to the people through the forest environmental services programme.
The sector is currently employing more than 20 million workers.
