Vietnamese working abroad face compulsory social insurance
VTV.vn - Vietnamese working abroad will be forced to participate in Vietnam’s compulsory social insurance system following a Decree which provides guidance for Social Insurance Law from January 1st 2016.

Those that will participate in the compulsory social insurance include people that have signed a contract with businesses or organisations that permit them to work abroad, enterprises that invest in foreign countries and people that have individual contract or work as interns. The level of social insurance payment will depend on total earnings and bonuses. Additional fees will be added starting from 2018. Nearly 110,000 thousand people have gone abroad to work during last 11 months, mostly to Taiwan and Japan.
