The ceremony was attended by former leaders and officials of ministries, who are former experts in the fields of industry, finance, economics, trade, investment, agriculture-forestry, transportation, education, health, culture, and information.
At the ceremony, Dao Ngoc Hung, Head of the Liaison Committee of Vietnamese Veteran Experts Assisting the Cambodian Revolution, highlighted the achievements and important contributions of the delegation of experts in the cause of national revival and socio-economic development in Cambodia.
During their mission in the host country, in the spirit of "assisting friends is also helping ourselves", the delegation of experts shared in the joys, sorrows, and hardships of the true patriotic forces and the Cambodian people in the most dangerous moments, overcoming countless hardships and shortages to excellently complete the assigned tasks.
With the tireless efforts of the Cambodian revolutionary government and the active and effective support of Vietnamese expert forces, including the delegation of experts, Cambodia has begun to revive from desolation and ruin.
The delegates also reviewed the glorious journeys, shared memories of a memorable period, contributed to the miraculous revival and strong development of Cambodia, and were proud and confident that the contributions of the experts and volunteer soldiers in Cambodia will be eternal historical values that will continue to be passed down to the younger generations of the two countries.
The 45th founding anniversary of Vietnamese Veteran Experts Assisting the Cambodian Revolution is also a meaningful occasion for former experts to meet, share, help each other in life, and continue to contribute to fostering solidarity, friendship, good neighbourliness and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
