Taking place from August 19-26, the tournament was jointly organised by Vietnam Television (VTV), the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the Usports Company.
It attracted the participation of seven teams, including national teams of Australia, Mongolia, Vietnam 1, Vietnam 2, Kansai University of Japan, Suwon Club of South Korea and Choco Mucho Club of the Philippines.
In the final match yesterday, the Vietnam 1 team beat the Vietnam 2 team 25-14, 26-24 and 25-19 to secure the championship title and bring home 12,000 USD.
Meanwhile, the Choco Mucho Club of the Philippines emerged victorious over the Kansai University of Japan with a 3-1 score to bag the bronze medal.
At the closing ceremony, the organising board also presented sub-prizes, including best fair-play team, best individual players, and Miss Volleyball.
