Vietnamese students win four medals at IOI 2018

VTV.vn - The Vietnamese team in the 30th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2018) in Japan brought home four medals, said the Ministry of Education and Training.

With all four students winning medals, the Vietnamese delegation ranked 12th among the attending countries.

Pham Duc Thang from the High School for Gifted Students of the University of Science Hanoi won a gold medal, and Hoang Xuan Nhat from the High School for Gifted Students of the Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City bagged a silver medal. Two bronze medals belonged to Nguyen Hoang Hai Minh and Nguyen Khanh from the High School for Gifted Students of the University of Science under the Vietnam National University-Hanoi.

This year event saw the participation of 335 contestants from 87 countries and territories across the five continents.
