VTV.vn - The Vietnamese Students' Association in the Republic of Korea (VSAK) has actively mobilised all available resources to support Vietnamese students amid the outbreak of 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

VSAK has also been active in collecting information on Overseas Vietnamese students in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region and coordinating with the Vietnamese Embassy to provide timely support to those students.

The association has delivered 5,000 bottles of hand sanitisers, which were donated by Dr Althea Company, to Vietnamese students in Daegu and the surrounding areas.

VSAK President Tran Thien Quang said that the association will work harder to connect with benefactors at home and abroad to support Vietnamese students in overcoming the difficulties caused by the epidemic.

There are around 37,500 Vietnamese students currently studying in the RoK, accounting for 23.4% of all international students in the country. More than 3,500 of them are now studying in Daegu City and North Gyeongsang Province, the epicentre of the COVID-19 outbreak.
