VTV.vn - This year, many student delegations from Vietnam have been sent to participate in international competitions. All of them returned with outstanding achievements and many awards in Mathematics, Physics, and Biology.

This is the Math Team of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School. They are reviewing their performance in last year’s China International Mathematics Competition in Beijing. In the past, teamwork has been considered the weak point of Vietnamese students in international competitions. This year, however, the team scored the absolute highest mark of 400/400 in team performance.

Most notably in the last competition, Vietnam is one of the few teams to read, understand, and solve problems directly in English. International competitions are indeed where assessments of the students’ true potential are the most accurate.

"My parents allowed me to use the internet to learn mathematics. Perhaps the knowledge I gathered isn’t really related to what I learned in class, but it makes me feel more motivated in the subject", said Pham Minh Duc, Gold Medal, International Mathematics Competition (IMC).

The teaching methods in this school focus more on developing a growth mindset for the students. Only with a growth mindset can a student understand their potential, find their passion, follow their dream, and achieve their goal.

Nowadays, studying abroad is the dream of every student in Vietnam. Therefore, nurturing the passion of students and developing their talents without leaving the country still remains a difficult problem.
