Vietnamese poet receives Cikada Prize

The Cikada Prize was inspired by Swedish Nobel Prize winning poet Harry Martinson and this is also the first time a Vietnamese poem has been honoured with the award. The award ceremony was attended by Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam and seveal Vietnamese writers.

Founded in 2004, the Cikada Prize marked the 100th anniversary of 0Harry Martinson’s birth and is a prize specifically for East Asian poets. Earlier recipients were from Japan, South Korea and China.
