Principal Luong Minh Cu said that the course aims to help Lao students to study the Vietnamese language both in Vietnam and Laos instead of spending nine to 12 months studying in Vietnam.
Those attending the course will study the language in Laos and take an exam at the university, which helps reduce their tuition fees and time.
Santisouk Simmalavong, Laos’ Vice Minister of Technology and Communications said that human resources development and training in the information technology industry is an urgent task, especially to prepare for the digital economy development strategy of Laos. Therefore, the Vietnamese language training in Laos is an initiative to help Lao students improve their language skills and have an access to useful scientific-technological information in Vietnamese.
He said he hopes such courses will be expanded and diversified.
