VTV.vn - A delegation from the Viet Nam Journalists’ Association led by its Chairman Le Quoc Minh paid a visit to the site in Guangzhou city, China, where President Ho Chi Minh founded Thanh Nien Newspaper, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Viet Nam Revolutionary Press Day.

The Viet Nam Revolutionary Youth League's Headquarters at House No. 13, now No. 248 - 250, Wenming road, Guangzhou city, is closely linked to President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities in Guangzhou from 1924 to 1927.

At this place, he personally wrote articles, laid out, and printed the issues of Thanh Nien - the first official organ of the Vietnamese revolution. There, the leader held three political training courses for Vietnamese revolutionary cadres.

The VJA Chairman, who is also a member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication, Education, and Mass Mobilisation, on behalf of today's journalists, expressed boundless gratitude for the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh who laid the foundation for the birth of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.

This visit was an opportunity for today’s generation of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists to deeply recognise their responsibility to preserve and promote the ideological values, ethics, and style of the late President in their journalistic activities.

The working trip also demonstrated the spirit and determination to carry forward the tradition of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in the new era.

Earlier, the VJA delegation paid respects to martyr Pham Hong Thai at Huanghuagang Cemetery Park in Guangzhou, honouring the contributions of the revolutionary predecessor and expressing profound gratitude for his heroic sacrifice for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
