The award program, launched by Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine in 2022, highlights companies that demonstrate measurable progress in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
The selection acknowledges Prodezi’s efforts to implement an eco-industrial park model, aiming to align industrial production with environmental and social considerations.
As part of its sustainability initiatives, Prodezi has partnered with Japan-based CHITOSE Group to deploy microbial composting technology within its industrial park. The system is designed to convert up to 80% of sludge and biomass into organic fertilizer, using microbes rather than incineration or chemicals. This approach is expected to reduce carbon emissions and operational costs. A barrel-shaped design allows for real-time monitoring of the composting process.
In its initial phase, the system is expected to handle around 6 tons of sludge monthly, with plans to expand to 33 tons per month. At full capacity, it could produce up to 340 tons of compost per year, sufficient to enrich approximately 17 hectares of farmland.
CHITOSE Group founder Dr. Tomohiro Fujita said the project in Vietnam applies proven composting solutions previously implemented in Japan and reflects a broader effort to support a biomass-based circular economy.
Prodezi Industrial Park is located in Luong Hoa Commune, Tay Ninh province (formerly part of Long An), covering 400 hectares. The park is developed in accordance with Decree 35/2022/NĐ-CP, which guides the development of eco-industrial zones in Vietnam. The project integrates low-emission operations and circular economy practices into its planning and execution.
