Vietnam wins 4 golds in International Chemistry Olympiads

VTV.vn - All 4 out of 4 students that entered the International Chemistry Olympiads 2020 in Istanbul have won gold medals.

They are Lý Hải Đăng from Trần Phú High School, Hai Phong; Nguyễn Hoàng Dương from the High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University; Phạm Trung Quốc Anh from Phan Bội Châu Specialized High School, Nghe An province; and Đàm Thị Minh Trang from Lê Hồng Phong High School for the Gifted, Nam Dinh province.

Vietnam ranked 2nd overall among 60 countries and territories that participated in the competition. This is the highest result ever achieved by Vietnam in the International Chemistry Olympiads.

This year’s competition has attracted the participation of contestants from 60 countries globally. As a result of the complicated developments relating to the novel coronavirus, all the contestants had to compete in the Remote Access Exam.
