Tourists from Asia made up 79.9 percent of the total, for an increase of 19.1 percent. Europe increased by 6.4 percent, America by 7.7 percent, and Africa 12.2 percent. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) said the country served 85 million domestic holidaymakers during the year, increasing by over 6 percent.
Vietnam aims to welcome 20.5 million foreign visitors and 90 million domestic tourists and earn a revenue of 36 billion USD in 2020.
