Vietnam, US enhance co-operation
VTV.vn - US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken is currently in Vietnam as part of the lead-up to US President Obama’s visit to Vietnam in May.

At talks with the US Deputy Secretary, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh underlined Vietnam's determination to ratify and implement the Trans-Pacific Partnership and expressed the hope the TPP Bill would be passed by the US Congress soon. He proposed the two sides deepen co-operation in areas listed in the Vietnam-US joint vision statement in 2013. Both sides also hope to enhance ties in the coming period; especially in anticipation of President Obama’s visit to Vietnam. Blinken said the US leader's visit to Vietnam would be one of the foreign policy highlights for the US this year. Through his visit, President Obama hopes to strengthen comprehensive co-operation between the two countries.
