On the evening of November 6, the Awards Ceremony of the 3rd National Press Awards “For the Cause of Vietnamese Cultural Development” took place solemnly at the Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi).
The National Press Awards “For the Cause of Vietnamese Cultural Development”, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commissions, and the Vietnam Journalists Association, aim to honor authors and groups with outstanding journalistic works covering topics on culture, information, family, sports, and tourism. The awards also recognize media organizations with multiple high-quality submissions.
Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Le Quoc Minh, and Director General of the Voice of Vietnam, Do Tien Sy, present the Second Prize to the authors and representative author groups.
The award also celebrate the outstanding contributions of collectives, individuals, and members of the journalism community to the advancement of culture, information, sports, tourism, and family affairs.
Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilization, Tran Thanh Lam, and VTV Deputy Director General, Do Duc Hoang, present the Third Prize to the authors and their representative author groups.
With a larger scale and outreach, the awards received 1,040 entries from central and local media outlets. The preliminary council shortlisted 122 outstanding works for the final round.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung present the First Prize in the “Vietnamese Inspiration” category to Vietnam Television.
The Organizing Committee awarded 95 individual prizes, including 5 First Prizes, 15 Second Prizes, 25 Third Prizes, and 50 Consolation Prizes. In addition, three collective prizes were presented to media organizations with a high number of quality submissions: the Voice of Vietnam, Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio-Television, and Vinh Long Newspaper and Radio-Television.
Vietnam Television won the First Prize for the Talk Show: The Rising Era - Theme: “The Rising Generation”, produced by the News Department.
Four other First Prizes were also awarded across various journalism categories, including print, online, radio, and photojournalism. The winning works were: Preserving Historical and Cultural Values When Renaming After Mergers (Van Hoa Newspaper - print category) and the five-article series: Hanoi Capital: Eternal Memory of the 70 Years of the Victory Return (VietnamPlus Online Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency - online category); Awakening Heritage (Voice of Vietnam - radio category); and Family Traditions Preserving the “Colors of the Nation” (Van Hoa Newspaper - photojournalism category).

A special highlight of this year’s edition was the introduction of the Vietnamese Inspiration Awards, which honored six initiatives that have had the greatest influence on cultural media. Vietnam Television proudly won the Top Award in this category.
This award reaffirms the vital role of media and communication in shaping and nurturing noble values, thereby contributing to the development of a rich Vietnamese culture that is deeply rooted in national identity. The Vietnamese Inspiration Award stands as a symbol of cultural soft power, touching hearts, igniting aspirations, and spreading the spirit of Vietnam in the new era.
