Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, First Vice President of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation awarded the First-class Labor Medal of the President to the Vietnam Television.
VTV.vn - Over half a century with the continuous efforts of many generations, Vietnam Television has developed comprehensively, in line with the global trend.

On September 7, the 50th anniversary of the broadcast of the first television program (September 7, 1970 - September 7, 2020) took place at the studio S14 of Vietnam Television.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, First Vice President of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation; Vice Chairman of the Office of President Pham Thanh Ha and many leaders of the Party's Central Committee, ministries and sectors attended the celebration. On the side of Vietnam Television, the celebration was with the presence Mr. Tran Binh Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Vietnam Television; the Deputy General Directors and former leaders of Vietnam Television through different periods, reporters, editors, technicians of different generations.

At the ceremony, the participants took a look back on the arduous and challenging but equally proud 50-year journey of Vietnam Television through a documentary film reviewing the process of the station's formation and development. It can be said that after half a century, since the first period operating with self-made cameras to date, Vietnam Television has developed comprehensively with modern infrastructure and technology in accordance with the global trend. Starting with broadcasting domestically, VTV has reached out to audiences all over the world, bringing Vietnam's image to the five continents.

Looking back on the 50-year journey of establishment and development, General Director of Vietnam Television Tran Binh Minh said: "We absolutely have the right to be proud of our tradition of self-reliance, dare to think, dare to act, dare to take responsibility. In the most difficult periods in the past as well as in the present, VTV always knows how to revolutionized itself".

On this anniversary, we also remember the work of previous generations. In the coming stages, we will look in the same direction with unity, pride and build VTV ever stronger", Mr. Binh Minh added.

Also, at the celebration, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh congratulated the VTV collective, at the same time praised VTV as the leading force in the cultural and ideological fronts and among trusted and strategic communication agencies of the Party and the State, contributing to education, improving people's knowledge, serving the spiritual life of the people through its rich TV channel system on many platforms.

In her speech, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh affirmed: "After half a century, up to now, VTV has not only fulfilled Uncle Ho's wishes but also laid a solid foundation, become a fast-growing and modern press agency by successfully turning small screen into an indispensable medium in people's daily lives".

In particular, VTV has also developed new channels, sent editorial teams and reporters to many countries and regions, meeting the information needs in the new situation, being worthy of the position of leading media agency of the Party and the State".

The 50th anniversary of the broadcast of VTV has also created a motivation for cadres, journalists and employees of the station to continue fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Party and the State in the period of industrialization, modernization and international integration of the country.
