According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the recently signed Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the EU will allow Vietnamese products to directly be imported into supermarket chains in Europe. Vietnamese producers are also targeting other distribution channels in North America, South East Asia, and East Asia; as a result of other FTAs achieved in 2015. International integration brings a lot of opportunities, but also competition. This is considered great motivation for Vietnamese firms to improve competitive advantages and for the Vietnamese government to provide better support policies.
