The target includes 24 projects overseen by the ministry and 10 major projects managed by local authorities. Several have already been completed, including three components of the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway and upgrades to sections of the Hanoi-Vinh and Vinh-Nha Trang railway lines.
Another 23 projects or components are under construction, although some remain behind schedule due to slow land clearance, construction material shortages and higher fuel prices.
The ministry plans to launch 10 projects this year, five of which have already broken ground.
