Vietnam targets 20 tourism sites by 2030

VTV.vn - Vietnam aims to have 20 officially recognised national tourism areas by 2030, double the current number, under a new action programme launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The plan includes greater investment in tourism infrastructure and transport links, alongside new products spanning high-end, coastal and eco-tourism, as well as heritage, wellness and night-time tourism. 

Green and smart tourism will also be priorities, with a goal of eliminating single-use plastics at tourism sites by 2030. Vietnam aims to welcome up to 50 million international visitors annually by the end of the decade, generating as much as 90 billion U.S. dollars in tourism revenue.
