Meanwhile, certificates in achieving excellence in five vocational skills were presented to Nguyen Van Tuan in the category of CAD, Nguyen Tat Toai in Industrial Control, Tong Tho Hoa in Bricklaying, Chu Van Tuoi in Electrical Installations, and Vu Hoang Trinh in Cooking.
The contest, which wrapped up late last week, attracted 1,258 contestants from 68 countries to compete in more than 50 different occupations. The Vietnam team had 13 members competing in mechatronics, cable network installation, cooking, electronics, bricklaying, automotive and industrial control.
This is the sixth time Vietnam has joined the contest.
At the WorldSkills 2015 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nguyen Duy Thanh won a bronze medal in the information technology software solutions for business category, the highest achievement since Vietnam joined the competition.
