Vietnam, Singapore step up anti-corruption co-operation

VTV.vn - Deputy Prime Minister and deputy head of the National Steering Committee for Corruption Prevention Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Tuesday received Wong Hong Kuan, Director of Singapore’s Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau in Hanoi.

Deputy Prime Minister Phuc told his guest that Vietnam considers settling complaints and denunciations and anti-corruption efforts as a key task and a priority in building a modern, professional, effective, and transparent civil service. The deputy prime minister went onto say that the government was keen for investigative agencies from both countries to step up anti-corruption work.

Director Wong Hong Kuan hailed Vietnam’s anti-corruption initiatives over recent years and said he hoped both agencies from the two countries should continue to share experiences to strengthen their anti-corruption institutions.
