The Cambodian electronic newspaper vodhotnews.com on October 25th reported that, during a working session in France, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said that Vietnam, through an unofficial channel, has approved the agreement on land division in the area of Dac Dam – Dac Huyt (in Dac Nong and Mondulkiri). Accordingly, 40% of land will go to Cambodia and 60% to Vietnam.
In reply to press queries today, Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Hai Binh stated clearly that: “We are verifying the information. Related to the border area of Dac Dam in Dak Nong Province, which borders Mondulkiri province in Cambodia, Vietnam has full legal foundations, historical evidence and realistic management asserting its full and complete sovereignty over this area".
