Vietnam’s manufacturing PMI increases

VTV.vn - The Vietnam Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) in September increased to 53.3 points according to the latest report by Nikkei.

Vietnam surpassed Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand to be the leading country the Southeast Asia.

The results signaled a solid monthly strengthening of business conditions, with the rate of improvement the most marked since April. The health of the sector has now been strengthening for 22 consecutive months.

Factors boosting the increase of the PMI in September are faster rises in output, new orders and employment on the back of stronger customer demands.
