VTV.vn - On June 11, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) announced that as of May 31, Vietnam's credit growth had increased by 6.16% compared with the end of 2017.

According to the SBV, the structure of credit has shifted to the manufacturing sector, especially in prioritized fields, while loans have tightened to sectors that pose high risks in order to ensure the safety of the banking system.

In the first few months of 2018, the interest rate had been stabilized, and the lending rate in priority fields continued to follow a downward trend. In particular, several credit institutions reduced their short-term lending rates by 0.5% per annum for customers with good credit ratings.
