VTV.vn - A press conference announcing a new phase in the long-term co-operation project between Vietnam and Russia was held on 28th September in Hanoi.

The joint project has supported small and medium sized hi-tech enterprises since 2012. The event was organised by the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Hanoi.

After 3 years, the Russia-Vietnam: New Economy project has held successful exchange visits for Russian small and medium enterprises to Vietnam. A handbook on Vietnam-Russia businesses has been published. The project has helped to promote co-operation in energy, medicine and hi-tech.

"Enterprises visiting Vietnam this time work in hi-tech. They are very willing to open factories in Vietnam. As we are building a customs union, I think the future potential is very great. Trade activities and goods and technology exchanges will be much easier", said Liubov Strozaeva, Director, Russia-Vietnam. New Economy project.

At the event, hi-tech Russian enterprises showed their interest in the Vietnamese market and hoped to boost long-term links.
