The meeting, held in Hanoi on March 15, also saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui The Duy.
The two sides exchanged and shared experience in the prevention and fight against the COVID-19 epidemic and other issues of mutual concern.
The RoK Ambassador appreciated the efforts of Vietnam in preventing and combating the epidemic as well as Vietnam’s support and protection of RoK citizens working in Vietnam.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Long thanked the RoK Government for providing Vietnam with US$500,000 to help in dealing with the epidemic.
He also suggested for the RoK side to share their experience regarding the simultaneous testing of a large number of patient samples and to provide Vietnam with biological products, quick diagnostic kits, and testing equipment to help Vietnam carry out quick tests on many samples at the same time, in a bid to shorten the testing time and promptly respond to the spreading of the epidemic.
