The period saw four groups of exports with revenue of US$1 billion and above, namely mobile phones, computers and computer parts, machinery and equipment, and garment products.
Vietnam’s exports were estimated at US$38.46 billion from the start of 2021 until February 15, a sharp increase of 36.9% compared with the same period of 2020.
On the import side, Vietnam purchased US$9.24 billion worth of foreign goods, down about US$500 million, with computers and mobile phones and machinery and equipment each worth over US$1 billion.
As of February 15, Vietnam has imported a total of US$35.7 billion worth of goods, up 25.3%, meaning the country registered a trade surplus of US$2.76 billion.
